After a successful first year of Nairobi Restaurant Week in 2014, it is back again bigger and better with more restaurants on board. Restaurant Week has been in existence for long enough and it is only until last year that Nairobi held its inaugural Restaurant Week putting it in the list alongside Cape Town, New York, London & Tokyo among others.

This year, NRW will give you 10 days to sample a special menu from over 50 restaurants that are participating and all at a special price of Kshs 1,500 – 2,000 for a 2-course or 3-course meal respectively.

Some of the best fine dining restaurants are onboard in this year’s edition of the Nairobi Restaurant Week including the chic Soko & Soi restaurants at Dusit D2, Soaring Eagle Spur, Bhandini at Intercontinental, Secret Garden, Mambo Italia and Villa Rosa Kempinski to name just but a few.

Free Magnum Cocktail at Nairobi Restaurant Week 2015

With Magnum Cream Liqueur from Liquid Africa being the official sponsor this year, you get a complimentary Magnum cocktail, or a glass of Magnum on the rocks if you prefer yours served plain on the rocks. A wine and cocktail menu featuring Cruz vodka and magnum cream liqueur will be available with each menu this year.

Magnum is a luxurious cream liqueur which has tantalizing hints of caramel, chocolate and rich toffee making it perfect for anytime of the day even as dessert after a hearty meal. It is created from a blend of the finest Highland Scotch Whisky and real Dutch cream and then uniquely packaged in a stylish reusable stainless steel flask with screw-top and handles giving it a sleek look.

Here is a recipe to the complimentary Magnum Martini cocktail:

  • Double tot Magnum
  • Single tot Cruz Vodka
  • 15 ml Espresso
  • 15 ml Chocolate Syrup

Shaken over ice, served in a martini glass garnished with grated chocolate
