We know the days of basking in the sun by the pool are still a long (long) way off, but that doesn’t mean you and your kiddos can’t get your aqua fix. We’ve rounded up some of the best pools in Nairobi where your kids can splish-splash around.
And the best part? For those pools with lifeguards, you may even get to enjoy a few moments to yourself.
Here are 10 of our favorite hotel swimming pools across the country!
With sweeping views over the Nairobi skyline, Sankara’s Sarabi Pool & Supper Club is the premier place to meet, eat and enjoy. By day the open-air pool deck serves up healthy juices, tisanes and light revitalising cuisine; a refreshing relief from the city’s buzz. The pool is heated as well. Fee: 25.00 USD
Their pool side restaurant includes an outside terrace at the poolside serving Themed Buffets, A la Carte and Sunday Brunch. Open daily,6:30 am -10:30 pm.
The Pool Terrace features the stylish semi-circular Pool Bar, which offers its own café-styled seating around the pool. Offering a wide range of wines, beers, cocktails, juices, teas and coffees, the Pool Bar also serves a tempting selection of poolside snacks throughout the day.
Pool Garden at Sarova Panafric
This poolside restaurant at the Sarova Panafric is located 5 minutes drive from the CBD amidst beautifully landscaped gardens in a quiet suburb of Nairobi. Enjoy leisurely meals as you splash in the pool area with your family.
The Pool Deck Restaurant on the fifth floor of the Sarova Stanley is a little bit of the coast in the heart of the city. It’s a light, bright, buffet-style restaurant with Alfresco dining by the swimming pool. It serves Kenyan specialities as well as popular continental and Asian dishes.
One of Kenya’s most fabled locations, Fairmont the Norfolk has a fantastic pool area, great for the family and especially kids, as it is also has a heated pool.
Mezze at Four Points by Sheraton Hurlingham
For traditional Arabic hospitality, Mezze on the Deck is the place to dine in Nairobi. Serving a wide variety of Mediterranean, Arabic and Tapas, it is the ideal place for a nice afternoon swim with the family.
Conservatory Restaurant is situated by the swimming pool, offers an a-la-carte coffee shop style menu with pastries, coffee, tea and other savories throughout the day.
Dining at the pool. Who wouldn’t like that?
Sweeping skylines and a fantastic view of the National Park. Ole Sereni is definitely a great place to treat the family for an adventurous afternoon swim!
