1. Fatty Melt

Fatty-Melt

What happens when you combine a burger, a patty melt and two grilled cheese sandwiches? The Fatty Melt, a burger that doubles the gooey American cheese and toasty bread factor. Do we really need to be chowing down on two grilled cheeses and a burger? Of course not, but so what?

2. Cheeseburger Crust Pizza

Who says you have to choose between a burger and a pizza? Pizza Hut Middle East rolled out a pizza featuring soft crust pockets filled with mini-beef patties fixed with mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and Pizza Hut’s Special Sauce. We’re intrigued, but perhaps not quite enough to book a flight.

3. Doughnut Burger a.k.a. The Luther

And speaking of over-the-top burger combos, try to wrap your head around the Doughnut Burger, a.k.a. The Luther. Yes, that’s a burger served up on a glazed doughnut in place of a bun. But don’t knock it until you’ve tried it — the unlikely sweet-savory combo really does work.

4. “Big Mac” Macarons

Big Mac Macarons

A dessert burger? Would you give it a shot? Rachael of food blog La Fuji Mama has taken the delicate French macaron and given it a distinctly American feel with these “Big Mac” Macarons. The buns are classic almond macarons, the patty is made of bittersweet chocolate ganache, and the lettuce and tomatoes are crafted out of a bizarre candy called chocolate plastic.

5. Dee Snider Burger

Dee-Snider

Ready? Here’s what the burger is topped with: peanut butter, jelly, bacon … and Sriracha. A burger named after the lead singer of Twisted Sister is bound to be pretty wild, but the dudes behind the Grill ‘Em All Truck in Los Angeles really outdid themselves with the Dee Snider.

6. The Burger Map

Brazil Burger Map

The folks behind The Burger Map in Sao Paulo, Brazil, have a serious thing for American burgers. So much so that they traveled around the U.S. to find out the secrets of burger-making before opening their restaurant. And the menu at The Burger Map is pretty promising: There’s a chili burger topped with Tex-Mex cheese sauce, chili and tortilla chips– and a red, white and blue Pimento Cheeseburger.

7. Burger in a Can

Beans, tuna and tomatoes are all canned foods we can stand behind, but a Cheeseburger in a Can? Not so sure about this one. Cheeseburger In A Can is a tasty treat for any fan of the hearty sandwich made popular by American fast food chains or just grilled up in your back yard. The uber-freshness of this canned patty will make everyone’s hearts sing knowing that only a piece of thin aluminium stands in the way of your drooling taste buds and the beefy taste of Mmm! So what’s the verdict going to be? Would you try this canned burger or stick to the ones that don’t come with a bun?

8. Pastrami Burger

Meet the Pastrami Burger.Despite what you might think, this is a classic hamburger. Legend has it that this burger was invented in Utah. I guess they know their burgers!

9. Burger Garbage Plate

The Garbage Plate, a scary-sounding concoction from Rochester, New York, is a burger (or cheeseburger, or two hot dogs, or grilled cheese, or ham, or eggs) loaded up with your choice of fries, baked beans, home fries or macaroni salad. If that wasn’t enough, the whole thing is crowned with mustard, onion and a beefy hot sauce. Oh, and toast, too.
