We are soon entering into a season of making merry and what better way than to have a few recipes up your sleeve that will come in handy when entertaining those cherished guests. Making something yourself makes the moments more memorable and people will definitely have something to remember you by.
Fortunately, there is one drink that comes particularly to mind. Bailey’s Irish cream is a liqueur that has been made in Ireland since its creation over 30 years ago. The cream comes from Irish cows that spend nine months a year outdoors enjoying four kinds of fresh grass. The milk from these cows is collected and blended in less than 36 hours with whiskey, chocolate and vanilla. The vanilla ensures freshness and helps the beverage keep its taste naturally for two years. Bailey’s comes in four different flavours that include original, crème caramel, mint chocolate and coffee. These flavours are a great base for an assortment of delicious cocktails.
Here is one recipe that will absolutely keep you glowing with the holiday cheer.
One-ounce Bailey’s Irish cream
One-third ounce vodka
Two ounces cold espresso
Whipped cream (optional)
Mix Bailey’s, vodka and espresso in martini shaker with several ice cubes.
Shake and strain into chilled martini glass.
Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry.
