Bonga Boli: Next stop – Nairobi

written by EatOut 26th April 2012

Calling all sports fanatics… Bonga Boli is coming to YOU!

Nairobi, are you ready for the best Kiswahili commentator competition Kenya has ever seen? It’s time to put your game face on and put Nairobi on the map.

Bonga Boli is the exciting Kiswahili commentator search activation (initiated by SuperSport) that is currently creating a buzz across Kenya. SuperSport is on the hunt for the best Kiswahili commentator for the live Kenya Premier League (KPL) matches it televises.

So what does it take to be the best?

In order for you to be the Bonga Boli champion you need to know your game, know your venues and know the 12th player – they are after all the most important part of the game.

Bonga Boli has seen some amazing fresh talent in Mombasa and Kisumu over the past two weeks, but will Nairobi ‘take the cake’?

The third and final round of the auditions will take place at the Prestige Plaza Mall in Nairobi from Friday 26to Sunday 29 April 2012. The Prestige Plaza is rated the third largest shopping mall in East Africa. With dozens of stores, restaurants and cinemas to visit, you can do your shopping or grab something to eat before or after your audition.

So bring your identity document, your Kiswahili commentator voice and your mad skills and show Kenya what Nairobi is made of.

Once the auditions in Nairobi have been concluded, celebrity judges and noted sports personalities John Nene, Jacob Ghost Mulee, Ann Ngugi and Mohammed Juma Njuguna will select the best candidates from the Mombasa, Kisumu and Nairobi auditions. The lucky aspiring commentators chosen will then go through to the next round.

Not only will the winner of the competition get to work at a live game on SuperSport, but as the Bonga Boli champion, he/she will also stand a chance of landing a job with the SuperSport: World of Champions.
