Brewery Ommegang To Unveil Third ‘Game of Thrones’ Beer

written by Yoga David 16th December 2013

Ommegang, a Brewery in the USA has coined this new phrase ‘Good things come in threes’ because they believe if they didn’t before, they do now.

This is so especially for the beer nerds who enjoy in geeking out on the popular HBO series Game of Thrones.

The concept is loosely based on the success of the one and two brews they’ve already rolled out that were loosely based on this fantasy drama series, Brewery Ommegang is now going for a hat-trick of the same.

Coming out next spring, when Game of Thrones returns for its fourth season, they will be introducing a third beer in this ongoing series. This beer will draw inspiration from the show’s House Targaryen. If you are a fan of the series might know about this.

The new beer, Fire and Blood Red Ale, comes on the heels of Take the Black Stout’s rollout. The dark-as-night elixir, was preceded by Iron Throne Blonde Ale, which was also released last spring.

Bottles of Fire and Blood beer will sport three different distinct labels. Each will depict one of Game of Thrones’ three dragons. Packaging options aside, the ale is a completely different animal than its two predecessors.

Ommegang says this latest installment to Game of Thrones has rye and Spelt wheat on the grain bill, is mixed with Styrian Golding and German Tettnang hops, and receives an addition of ancho chilies for extra complexity and some heat up to remind you about those dragons on the series.

Hello there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was
wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form?
I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one?
Thanks a lot!
