How else do you top off an already glorious Sunday afternoon? Two mimosas for the price of one and a delightful brunch should do the trick. After a fantastic morning of horses and polo, I was looking forward to spending the rest of my afternoon away from the heat. But to be completely honest, all I wanted was to bless my taste buds with some delicious food. I had been to Brew Bistro before but never on a Sunday so I was curious to experience how this eclectic nighttime favorite would hold up on a quiet Sunday. Every Sunday, from 11am to 4pm, Brew Bistro hosts a lovely brunch at their terrace with a wide offering on their menu and yes off course, mimosas!
The service at Brew Bistro is impeccable. We didn’t have to wait long before we were seated and the menus were presented to us. Brew Bistro is known for their premium draught beer, their amazing food menu and their impressive cocktails. With their Sunday mimosa madness offer (2 mimosas for the price of 1) and their equally delectable brunch menu, we were instantly hooked! Sure mimosas may not be considered a manly thing but who cares. You must try the Minty – Pineade mimosa. The fusion of the fresh pineapple juice, mint and sparkling wine will turn any slow day into a bubbly one. Incase you’re feeling fancy or celebrating, switch the sparkling wine for champagne.
Their menu selection is one that will have spoilt for choice. I opted for the Roasted Salmon, Potato Caper Salad and Sour Cream and my mates had the Hollandaise Florentine Benedict and the Hollandaise Roast Beef Benedict. Want to build your own omelet? Go right ahead! They have a delightful section in their menu where you get to create your own three-egg omelet with a choice of normal toppings and premium toppings. How cool is that?
What I love about Brew Bistro is the value for money. What you order is worth every single cent you have paid for and more. The food presentation is another thing of beauty and genius. Our meals came served on a hot slate. Not only was it unique and out of the box, but it kept the food nice and hot without you having to worry about eating it cold. The roasted salmon was undeniably scrumptious. The sweet flavor of the crepe and the sour cream blended in to create the perfect sweet and sour brunch meal. Every bite was delightful and burst with flavor, texture and finesse. It wasn’t an ordinary brunch. There was no such thing as ordinary about it. It was engaging, well presented, balanced, flavorful and simply delicious. The pairing with the mimosas was incredible. They have really good mimosas. No wonder they won the Most Popular Cocktail bar in the just concluded Taste Awards. We were all famished and didn’t even care to share our meals with each other.
By the time we were done, we were full to the brim, happy and already looking forward to the next Sunday. If you’re out there wondering how exactly should you spend your Sunday afternoon this weekend? I think you’d be doing yourself a great favor by going for Brew Bistro’s Sunday brunch. After all, who doesn’t want to build their own omelet?
