Carnivore Restaurant To Host Japanese Jazz Artist Shingo Okudaira This Wednesday

40 years after he first performed at the Kenya National Theatre while only aged 7, Japanese jazz drummer – Shingo Okudaira, is returning to the same venue for two special homecoming concerts on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th October.

But before that, a nostalgic concert series entitled The Return of Shingo – Real Jazz from Tokyo; is set to take place at the Carnivore Simba Saloon on Wednesday 16th October.

Shingo & The Force are one of Tokyo’s best Jazz groups, where drummer – Mr. Shingo Okudaira, teams up with world-renowned  Mr. Fumio Karashima on Keys, and Mr. Takashi Sugawa on Double Bass.

Kenya’s own – Umoja Calabash Percussions, will also feature in the two shows at Kenya National Theatre.

If you are looking into attending the jazz event this Wednesday, there is definitely something you should look forward to.There will be a sushi counter in the main bar set up by Mr. Kim.

Apart from the sushi, sashimi and rolls, the Carnivore kitchen will make some hot Japanese delicacies. The usual Simba Saloon a la carte menu will also be available.

Time: 7.00pm to 10.00pm.
Entry: KES 800/- Advance.
KES 1,000/- At the Gate.
