Double Crispy Fried Chicken Recipe

Stuck for ideas for dinner? Or hosting some friends over for dinner? Here is a simple recipe for finger licking Double Crispy Fried Chicken.

Double crispy fried chicken


  • Chicken: 800gms Chicken pieces
  • 1 cup Flour – seasoned with salt and pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs
  • Bidco SunGold lite –

For Frying Sauce:

  • 2 tables spoons orange marmalade
  • 2 oranges squeezed
  • 1 teaspoon of whole grain or Dijon mustard
  • Salt and pepper to season 2 sprigs/stems of rosemary leaves
  • Salad as you prefer

  1. Sieve flour into a flat bowl add salt and pepper
  2. Beat the egg in a low bowl
  3. Pour the breadcrumbs into a low bowl
  4. Coat each piece of the chicken in flour
  5. Then dip each piece in the egg
  6. Then coat each piece in the bread crumbs
  7. Put 1 inch of oil in a pan and when it is hot fry till crispy
  8. Serve immediately


  1. Heat it gently
  2. Do not boil
  3. When all flavours are combined, remove rosemary and serve in a jug ( this should be sprinkled over the chicken when serving)
  4. Serve with salad
