EatOut announced yesterday the winner of the ‘Win a Trip to Dubai’ competition that took place over the third edition of the Nairobi Restaurant Week. This follows the recent announcement of the ‘Win a Trip to Cape Town‘ that also took place during NRW 2016 courtesy of Nederburg.
Valerie Lwile, a locally based media planner, was beyond belief when she was informed that she was the winner, terming the moment as surreal.
“I love everything about NRW. I love the fact that it’s a thing, and that Nairobi is one of the many cities in the world that take part in restaurant week. I love the fact that so many reputable establishments take part in this, allowing a large number of people to be able to visit said establishments at budget friendly prices. I love the menus. They are indicative of the fact that the restaurants take their time with this. There is thought to it. And it’s an honour to be a part of this. Lastly, I love the experience of dining out. I am taking part in a reading challenge this year, and one of the categories is a book related to a passion or hobby you have. I am searching for a book on food, as eating is my passion and hobby”
“I always use EatOut to find my restaurants and love their new features where I can follow my friends comments and reviews of restaurants. I can’t wait for the new App to launch. I have a couple of windows I never close on my browser. The EatOut site is one of them” stated Valerie when speaking to Yummy.
Valerie, will enjoy a two nights stay for two at the luxurious Atlantis The Palm and will enjoy a 3 course meal at celebrity chef, Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen and Bar. Known for its delectable British European menu, Valerie looks forward to dining at the famed chefs restaurant.
When Yummy asked her who she would take with her, she had this to say:
“The million dollar question! I don’t know to be honest. I’m waiting to tell my people first then see who makes the most convincing case. Let the games begin. Hehe!”
It may be time to begin considering getting into Valerie’s good books… Congratulations Valerie! We can’t wait to hear all about your Dubai adventures.
