Happy National Frappe Day! There’s a reason to be happy because you’re about to find an amazing and super easy frappe recipe.
We bet most of you don’t know that frappe was invented accidentally. Yes, we’re not kidding. The refreshing Greek iced drink made from instant coffee was invented by a Nescafe representative in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1957. What was he doing? He was probably just thirsty and wanted something unique to quench his thirst and now nearly all Greek café’s serve the drink.
This combo of instant coffee, water and sugar can be made at home. It’s like a cool sister to the milkshake we’re used to. Or maybe the milkshake’s awesome cousin? We haven’t entirely mapped out the family line for this frappe but we have a recipe you can use to make it in your kitchen.
Think of this drink as the one you want to enjoy with friends and family on a breezy afternoon.
