It is believed that the more a consumer knows of their drink, the more likely they are to immerse themselves in the experience. It was this very insight that inspired Nairobi’s newest and most exclusive Liquor store Berries & Barrels. Situated on the 2nd floor of Yaya Centre, CEO and Owner of Berries and Barrels- Anne Marie- unveiled her passion project to invited guests during an exclusive evening of pure luxury.
To celebrate the grand opening of the store, guests were treated to a selection of delicate bitings that paired perfectly with the whisky that circulated the room. The store was then revealed from behind large black curtains and guests invited to have a wander around and soak it all in. Anne Marie expressed that she has dreamt of this concept for years and found the perfect partner in Diageo. Their amazing range of Luxury spirits were beautifully displayed within the flagship store and had the guests buzzing. An impressive selection of whisky blends and single malts to high energy top of the range Tequila and vodka wrapped round the walls of the store. They even had a little corner filled with a selection of cocktail and whisky books for those that wanted to know a little more.
Shortly after the store’s reveal, an auction of the award-winning triple malt, John Walker & Sons Odyssey took place with the bottle eventually being snapped up for an impressive 120,000/- Ksh. All the proceeds went to Nyumba ya wazee ,a charity that both Anne-Marie and EABL Support.
It was evident that this store is not simply created for the quick purchase of a bottle or two, but is rather focused on engaging consumers in an experience.
