It’s February 17th…
You know what that means!
It’s international Pancake Day 2015.
Yes, in case you didn’t know, there is actually an entire day dedicated to the world’s best breakfast food (well, anytime food really).
Originally known as Shrove Tuesday, it was meant to get rid of foods like flour, sugar and eggs before 40 days of Lent began. Pancakes were just a convenient way of getting rid of these all at once.
But they chose well with pancakes because today Shrove Tuesday, now appropriately named, International Pancake Day, is a day of fine feasting on pancakes.
Did anyone give YOU some pancakes today?
Don’t worry… Still a few hours left in the day.
Shall we celebrate?
