What’s the easiest way to get me out of the house? Invite me over for a barbecue! No matter how cold it is, as long as the grill is hot and the food is delicious, you can definitely find me there. Invite Jack Daniels and we have a party. Flashback to the Jack Daniels Brother’s of Grill that happened last weekend at The Arboretum. A perfect description of what gets me out of bed.
Take ten food vendors and put them against each other in head to head competition to see who emerges as the brother of grill champion and you have the makings of an epic barbecue. The event saw Coco Jambo, Y-noT BBQ, Orwa’s Kitchen, Monikos, Havana Restaurant, Privee Westlands, Party Hog, Carnivore, Mel’s Kitchen and the Road House Grill serve their signature barbecue plates to the hungry foodies who were in attendance.
The Ksh. 2000 ticket came with 5 Jack Daniel meal vouchers, 5 water vouchers and 5 meal vouchers. A total of 15 incredible vouchers that made sure you were well taken care off during the event and if that wasn’t enough, the legendary DJ Adrian made sure your feet stayed happy and warm dancing to his electric mixes.
So who was crowned as the ultimate Brother of the Grill? As voted by the judges, Coco Jambo came in first place and Privee coming close as second. The fans had their say as well! Y-not BBQ were voted as the peoples favourite of the day closely followed by Monikos.
Don’t miss the next one!
