Wednesday evening was a night of celebration in the tourism industry after the recent lifting of the travel advisory against Kenya by the Foreign Commonwealth Office (FCO). Villa Rosa Kempinski, hosted a cocktail for tour consultants in the industry to celebrate the lifting of the ban. It was a night of joy and laughter thanks to the MC, Comedian, Dr. Ofweneke who did not disappoint when it came to entertaining the guests.
“We have had a hard time during the ban, jobs were lost and business closed down. Now that the ban is lifted, it is a time to prove to the world what a great nation we have and sell our beloved country,” Said Ann Murungi, Director of Sales and Marketing, Villa Rosa Kempinski and Olare Mara Kempinski, Maasai Mara.
Speaking during the cocktail, Manish Nambiar, General Manager Villa Rosa Kempinski mentioned that they are looking foward to a brilliant season during the remaining part of the year and invites tourists for a stay at the luxury hotel.
Guests sampled on delicious treats ranging from Pan Asian Cuisine dishes and African dishes as they enjoyed mellow tunes from the live band. Among the activities carried out was a trivia session where questions were asked about Olare Mara Kempinski, the hotel’s conservancy in Maasai Mara. Winning guests stood to win amazing prizes including a night for two at Villa Rosa Kempinski Nairobi, as well as lunch and dinner vouchers for two and free spa treatments.
The best part of the evening was when the EatOut Team, my colleague and I, together with other guests won the trivia, walking away with a voucher for a night for two at the hotel and a lunch voucher for two at Lucca Restaurant.
