Manufacturers of the popular Summit Lager and Summit Malt, Keroche Breweries, have unveiled a new lager. The new lager known as KB Lager has been launched in an aim to grow their portfolio.
Keroche Breweries CEO and owner, Tabitha Karanja, has spoken about KB Lager saying, “We promised to launch more products and finally we have come up with a unique beer that is using 70 per cent locally grown cereal and 30 per cent malted barley.”
The company, based in Naivasha, also states that the new KB Lager is made using the highest technology and one that satisfies customers.
This new move will not only enable Keroche Breweries to create over 400 jobs but also support local farmers, “We will support all Kenyans cereal farmers to continue growing cereals that meet international standards and suitable for beer brewing,” said CEO Tabitha.
According to Food Business Africa, Keroche Breweries has a capacity to produce 600,000 beer bottles in a day and an annual capacity production of 110 million litres. This puts the company at a great competitive edge with other manufacturers.
The company also spirits that are; Crescent Triple Distilled vodka, Crescent Dry Gin, Crescent Brandy and Crescent Whisky.
