These mouth-watering images by Swedish designer Daniel Carlsten make us crave some good old fish and chips. With just a little imagination, the designer has turned the plain medium of paper into some spectacular food art. While origami isn’t anything new, Carlsten creates classic foods like wine, shrimp and ice cream out of just paper. With a knack for color and structure, each piece may not be a perfect replica, but they come pretty close. Created for Platinum Magazine by American Express, this series was created for an article on Australian cuisine, yum!
Carlsten describes his work philosophy thus: “My belief is that you have to love in order to become loved, and that you will have to give in order to receive. That is, by acting generously and by expressing passion for what you do, chances are that others will like it too.”
