One of the ingredients in this recipe is almond milk which you can easily prepare. We suggest you prepare the almond milk prior, then make this smoothie bowl with berries and granola later. You can pack this as lunch for your kids or quickly prepare it on a weekend for the family.
The rule of the thumb is to always try switching up the ingredients and see how your palate responds.
2 cups almond milk/dairy milk
A ¼ cup of coconut milk
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen peaches, mango or pineapple
½ cup fresh spinach
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon flax seeds
¼ cup granola, more if desired
Additional toppings: fresh fruit, nuts, coconut flakes or chocolate chips
- Pour in the almond milk, coconut milk, frozen blueberries, frozen peaches, spinach, chia seeds, flax seeds in a blender.
- Blend until smooth.
- Pour into a bowl and top with granola and fresh fruit.
- If possible, serve immediately.
