Many have described The Corner Affair Bistro as the ultimate spot for relaxation and enjoyment. Located in Westlands Nairobi at the corner of Rhapta and Mvuli road,  it provides an ideal and central place for conferences, wedding parties, dinner or any other occasion.

Running such a business in the competitive Nairobi area is not easy, and we talk to the proprietor, Chef Arif Ali who explains what it takes to build a name and of course, stay in the game.

What kind of cuisine do you specialise in at Corner Affair?

Alfresco , bistro stlye food cooked fresh on order, quality and value. Coninental and fusion food blended with classics


If you could pick three famous dishes your restaurant is best known for, what would they be?

 Chicken escalope wrapped in beef bacon, grilled prime fillet steak, spinach and ricotta ravioli or fresh baked pizza

Tell us about when the restaurant began (a little history) to where it has reached now

Started 3 years ago as a lunch and dinner restaurant, now includes seminar facilities for upto 30 pax , now also open for breakfast with the newly added bakery and delivery services along raphta rd


What makes your location convenient as a restaurant and puts you above your surrounding competitors?

In door and out door seating and lush green garden space


You are a renowned chef. Please tell us about your career experience

All started with frying eggs for dinner living alone during early school years.

Creativity resulted in outstanding meals and passion brought on the affair – the corner affair bistro

Breakfast, teas and coffees, lunch and dinner , meetings and seminars its all here at the corner affair

i was particularly enthralled by the acoustic jazz at the Bistro, my partners insists that we visit again, what an experience ‘ it all does change at the Corner Bistro
