A Walk Through Movenpick Restaurants

Whenever a new restaurant pops open in Nairobi, the thrill to have a taste of their new menu and take in their aesthetic is always blood rushing, especially to foodies. This was the case when we heard about the recently opened Movenpick and the new restaurants at the hotel, one different from the other, each having its ambiance. Here is the list of restaurants in the hotel.

1. Baluba

Baluba offers a mouthwatering dining experience like no other with their all-day dining buffets and live cooking stations, as well as an à la carte menu with dishes from Africa, Asia and Europe.

2. La Mesa

Located on the 15th and 16th floor, La Mesa provides Latin dishes which include a variety of tapas, sangria, frozen margaritas, live entertainment and a beautiful view of Nairobi. The restaurant comprises of a bar great for sports fans as they show live matches from football, rugby, tennis and many more.

3. The View

As the name suggests, The View is located on the 24th floor and offers a 360-degree panoramic view of Nairobi. The restaurant also rotates 360-degrees in 80 minutes as you enjoy your meal. Indulge in a variety of Swiss cuisine dishes like fondues and veal zurichoise and other culinary masterpieces.

4. Kijani Bar

If a relaxed cosy time by the fireplace with cocktails and music is what you’re looking for then Kijani Bar is it. Situated on the second floor overlooking the pool, Kijani Bar is the perfect setting for entertaining guests with its large circular space.

5. Pool Bar

With a seating capacity for 110 guests, a pool bar and cocktails to keep you going, The Pool Bar provides the ultimate place to chill and have a good time with friends and colleagues. During happy hour, enjoy mojitos and mocktails for a bargain price combined with jazz and chill out lounge music, the Pool Bar provides the perfect relaxed ambiance to unwind.

6. Lobby Cafe

The Lobby Cafe offers a wide selection of freshly made sandwiches, light meals, signature cakes, pastries, with extensive selection of flavoured coffees and international tea infusions making it perfect for an informal meeting, quick bite or afternoon tea experience. Included at the cafe is a Chocolate hour where you will get to enjoy exquisite complimentary chocolates made by Movenpick’s pastry chef.
