Renowned Congelese Musician Papa Wemba To Headline The Koroga Festival

One of the leading Congolese Rhumba maestro Papa Wemba is set to headline the 3rd edition of the bi-monthly music and arts festival, The Koroga Festival on Sunday 24th August 2014 at the Arboretum Gardens.

Born Jules Shungu Wembadio Pene Kikumba in 1949 in Lubefu, DRC, Papa Wemba is one of the most decorated and popular African musicians.

The Koroga Festival is a bi-monthly event organised by one of Kenya’s leading broadcasting stations, Capital FM. The festival will also feature opening act from the Crown Prince of Benga, Dan Aceda.

Koroga Festival is coined from Swahili word meaning ‘mix’ and is one leading festival in Kenya, which embraces diverse local talents and leading artists from around the world through arts, food, music and fashion.

Advanced tickets are available at Ticketsasa for Ksh 1,500. At the Gate the tickets will be Ksh 2,000, and for children under 12 years entry is free.
