The event celebrating the anniversary was held at the Westgate Pop-up Market and was hosted by media personality, Pinky Ghelani. ‘Cheese Amazing‘ was the tagline of the event, where they celebrated hard-working and committed women at the home front as well as in business. Awards were handed to various women whose efforts were recognized.

Pinky Ghelani, who runs #WhatWomenWant at the Westgate Pop-up market and one of the organizers of the Raka Cheese anniversary celebration spoke of the event saying, “The event was truly memorable as we took the opportunity to celebrate Raka Cheese’s 18 amazing years in business and appreciate 10 wonderful women who have shown courage in the face of adversity and have made huge sacrifices to improve the lives of others around them. These female heroes all embody the same qualities that Kalpa Padua, Managing Director of Raka Cheese has…and it was beautiful to be a part of such a heartwarming event. #CheeseAmazing taught us all to appreciate the value of hard work, family, and community and we honestly can’t wait for the next one.”
There was a special performance by Daraja Band who also gave special thanks towards the end.
