The Clubhouse @ Sanctuary Farm

Who said romantic meals have to be in the evening? The Clubhouse is best enjoyed at lunchtime. With a smorgasbord of delicious Lebanese and Moroccan inspired (Ottolenghi-style) salads, the look of the food competes with the stunning views across the polo field and lake edge, with grazing animals and birdlife in abundance. It is a four-course affair, so be prepared to take your time.  Why not make a day of it and enjoy a walk around the conservancy or, if you’re feeling lazy after the delicious lunch, treat yourself to a horseback safari. Attendance by booking only.

Lazybones Bar @ Camp Carnelley’s

My absolute favourite weekend hangout! I know I will always bump into friends here, and the staff and management are so helpful and attentive. I love to pull in after a long week and enjoy a cold beer and the samosas! Try their feta and coriander and, if you’re lucky, they might have their freshly prepared bacon and camembert samosas on their specials board. If you’re looking for a place with a chilled vibe, amazing food, options for all and beautiful scenery then hit up Carnelley’s for a lazy lunch or a social dinner with your loved ones. Open every day for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

The Ranch House @ Oserian

With incredible views over ‘the little lake’, this is a perfect spot for date night. Whilst the sun sets, enjoy a bottle of chilled South African white wine accompanied by their divine chicken liver pâté and then settle into an evening by the fire with great food and company. They also have an adjacent La Pieve farm shop that stocks fresh farm produce, wonderful wine as well as a surprising variety of hard-to-find imports. They can also organise a game drive and sundowners in the stunning, private Oserengoni Sanctuary. Open every day.

Matteo’s

Amazing authentic Italian cuisine served in a classic trattoria style dining area. All handmade fresh pasta cooked to perfection with the tastiest sauces. The chefs have been trained by Pietro, a master Italian chef who has worked with all the best Italian restaurants in Kenya.  Enjoy an antipasto platter with a classic Italian Aperol Spritz and watch the sunset over the lake from their first-floor viewing deck with a cold beer and the best pizza in town! They also deliver, what a treat! Closed Mondays.

Mundui House

The most exclusive spot in Naivasha to enjoy a Sunday lunch. Everything is sourced locally, from fresh organic veggies to artisan sourdough bread. Mundui House is the heart of the AAR Conservancy, and wherever possible, the owners strive to put their efforts back into helping injured or orphaned animals. Get in touch with Helen to organise lunch on the lawn, or make a weekend of it… enjoy all the comforts, history and hospitality of the stunning house and grounds, the excitement of evening game drives, sundowners on the lawns and a romantic candlelit dinner. You might be lucky and spot one of their resident leopards! Booking essential.
