Learn How To Make Scrumptious Pizza at Home

Pizza is one of the most popular dishes around the world. It is generally a flat round bread which is oven-baked and covered with tomatoes or a tomato-based sauce and mozzarella cheese. Toppings are also added depending on the region, culture or personal preference. In this article, we will be learning how to make a pizza at home.

 

The basic steps in pizza making are first preparing dough, then pizza sauce. After that, cheese and toppings are added according to taste and then the pizza is baked in an oven. This seems to be simple while reading but preparing a good mouth watering pizza at home drains in a lot of hard work. However, you will be able to make pizza at home easily using this step-by-step guide.

Ingredients
flour 2.00kg
potato purée  400.00g
olive oil  100.00g
yeast 20.00g
water to bind
salt30.00g

For the ragout; 

plum tomatoes chopped 4kg
onions peeled and diced
garlic peeled and mashed head 2
basil finely chopped stalks tied bunch 2
rosemary finely chopped bunch half
tomato puree tin half
salt and pepper to taste
oilve oil 50ml
For the cheese mix;

grated mozzarella 500g,

red highland 200g

 

Method

mix the yeast in a little WARM not hot water

mix all the ingredients together well add the yeast mixture

beat the dough for 30 minutes

let prove until doubled

roll out  200 G balls flat and toast either side on solid grill plate with a little colour

 

For the ragout

fry the onions then the garlic with the chopped rosemary add the tomato paste cook out 4 minutes

add the chopped tomatoes

simmer for 20 minutes take off the heat add the basil and season well

to finish spread a little ragout all over the base and top as per the order top with the cheese mix and bake

once out of the oven brush the crust with a little olive oil
