The Ole-Sereni Hotel hosted this month’s meeting of SKAL members at the hotel on Wednesday afternoon.
SKAL is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world, promoting global tourism and friendship. It is the only international group uniting all branches of the travel and tourism industry. Its members, the industry’s managers and executives, meet at local, national, regional and international levels to discuss and pursue topics of common interest.
Through collaboration, the hotel and tourism industry has been able to better serve clients, both locally and internationally. The purpose of SKAL global is to bring industry professionals together and the event at Ole-Sereni was highly evident of that.
Ole Sereni General Manager Ghulam Samdani echoed the sentiments of the attending members of SKAL in Kenya that 2014 was a particularly difficult year for the industry given the unfortunate events beginning from the Westgate attack in 2013 and going on towards other security issues in the country. But he also shared his confidence that the industry was regaining momentum as confidence in traveling to Kenya has been returning. This can be attributed to the partnerships and collaborations being forged in SKAL Kenya.
Participating SKAL members also got a chance to participate in a raffle which saw a lot of them walk away with holidays, spa treatments, flights and other great travel and hospitality goodies.
