Robert Mondavi of Private Selection Wines has partnered with a California eyewear designer Woodzee to transform previously used wine barrels into the wearable accessory.
The glasses are surprisingly light and flexible. The finish product of the wood has a slightly red tint due to the fact that the barrels were originally housed at Robert Mondavi Private Selection’s Coastal Crush Red.
All of the Private Selection wines are grown in the Central Coast and include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Coastal Crush Red, Malbec, Meritage, Merlot, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel.
You can actually view life through rosé colored glasses. They are available at Woodzee.com, and they come in 4 different lens tints (bronze, smoke, blue-green and blue) and cost a cool $120.
