Who doesn’t love cheese on toast? But we are assuming you can all do a basic cheese on toast pretty well if you’re reading this. Here are some other great takes on “cheese on toast” that don’t use the conventional cheddar or mozzarella. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did!
Enjoy this delicious snack anytime of the day and it’s pretty healthy so you can dial down on the guilt factor of indulging in a cheese toastie!
- 1/3 cup ricotta
- ½ tsp grated orange zest
- 2 tsp honey
- 2 slices your preferred bread (we recommend multigrain or oat)
- 1 pear, thinly sliced
- 2 tbsp, unsalted, roasted and slithered almonds
- Pinch of salt
- Mix the ricotta, honey, orange zest and salt in a bowl.
- Spread the ricotta mixture on your toast, top with the pears and sprinkle with the slithered almonds.
