Taste 2013 Mixologists of the Year Share their Ciroc Cocktail Recipes

Taste Awards 2013 was (and still is) a great opportunity to showcase what Kenya’s vibrant dining industry is all about-great food and awesome drink. But before the flames die and we forget just how dynamic we can get, Yummy wants to make sure you have something to remember the best by.

Ciroc’s Mixologist of the year award saw 2 worthy contestants go home with the top trophy. As easy as people think that mixing drinks behind the bar is, this is a trade that has taken years to master and all for the benefit of you- the esteemed client. The nominated mixologists were tried and tested in a gruelling yet exciting experience that made them appreciate their trade even more. Vetted by a professional panel of food and drink connoisseurs, all we can say is that we have come a long way and the results show them all.

In a move to showcase the talent that we have in our local bars, we bring you the top Ciroc cocktails as created by the mixologists. Maybe you can borrow a leaf and try some at home, Who knows where the curiosity will lead you?

Mixologist:

Sospeter, The Champagne Bar, Sankara Nairobi.

 

His Recipe:

VODKA SANGRIA

 

Ingredients:

30ml Ciroc vodka

15ml  Grand manier

15ml port wine

10ml lime juice

 

Method:

Shake everything  with ice

 

Presentation:

In a rock  glass

 

Garnish:

Strawberry,Orange wedge,Cucumber strip.
