The third edition of the Taste Awards was held last night at a glamorous gala at the deluxe, dusitD2. Those in attendance included major industry players and fine dining lovers as well as numerous media representatives and foodies.
The criteria for selecting the winner for the Rising Star, Junior Chef of The Year Award was comprehensive and factors that were used to determine the best included: Taste, plating, originality and creativity of the main dish prepared, professionalism, positive attitude and good communication skills possessed by the chef.

The Rising Star, Junior Chef Of The Year Award was introduced in the third edition of the Taste Awards for the up and coming junior chefs below the age of 25. The first ever rising star award winner is the talented Lesiamon Sempele of Sankara Nairobi!
