Upcoming TV series, The Great Kenyan Bake Off, recently announced the judges for the show. Chef Kiran Jethwa and Myra Kivuvani are the two culinary experts who will decide on who walks away with the grand prize.
The Great Kenyan Bake Off is the local version based on BBC’s The Great British Bake Off. The show is an entertaining and exciting competition that will find and crown Kenya’s best amateur baker.
Each week, one contestant will be eliminated and one named the star baker as it all leads to the finale where Kenya’s winning baker will be crowned.
The judges spoke about what they expect from the contestants with Myra saying, “A good bake for me is all about using quality ingredients, the right process and coming up with the best-finished look. I’ll be expecting to see how they handle the challenges. Are they going to just give up or are they going to work hard through all the challenges?”
Kiran stated, “A good baker is really all about the technique. What I expect from the bakers when they get in the tent is to execute with precision and come out with absolute deliciousness.”
Catch The Great Kenyan Bake Off on KTN Home starting October 2019.
