Sangrita is a traditional concoction of spiced tomato and fruit juices served as a chaser to a shot of straight tequila. Start with the smaller amount of chili pepper, and add more if you like a hotter drink.
- 150ml tomato juice
- 150ml blood-orange juice
- 50ml lime juice
- 1 cup fresh mango
- 1/4 cup loosely packed coriander leaves
- 1/4 to 1/2 chili pepper
- coriander for garnish
- Mix the tomato juice, lime juice, mango, coriander and chili pepper in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours.
- Serve in a cocktail glass while chilled and garnish with coriander and shots of tequila.
