The vodka is set to hit liquor store shelves across the US this winter.
The Milk Money Vodka is distilled twice from milk then twice filtered for an end product described as a “full-bodied light cream taste.”
The vodka is at 40% alcohol by volume, and is said to end with a “sweet clean finish” and it is also gluten-free.
Amusingly, the product’s target market is females in the agricultural community Selfridges. aged 21-45, says Leche Spirits.
The product is set to debut in Colorado and New Mexico in the coming weeks, followed by other Midwestern states including Nebraska, Minnesota and Wisconsin,.
In the meantime, this is not the first time farmers have tried to turn cow’s milk into vodka. Yummy had Vermont White Vodka made from pure milk sugar and local spring water.
Also when Black Cow Vodka was being launched out of Dorset in England last year, the vodka was touted as a world first. This is vodka made from the whey of cow’s milk.
This premium vodka is now being sold at high-end UK retailer Selfridges.A 750-ml bottle of Milk Money Vodka will be retailing for US$19.99 (Ksh1716.14).
