A ready meal company in the west of London has brought out what is dubbed as the world’s most expensive TV dinner.
The dinner made with vintage champagne, edible gold leaf and “topped” with a pair of lobster tails, the Swish Pie by Charlie Bigham will cost £314.16.
The creation was “inspired by Pi itself”, Mr Bigham said the company wanted “to take our reputation for making the finest ready meals that bit further”.
Charlie Bigham’s will ensure the pies don’t fall prey into the wrong hands by having each one delivered in a bespoke aluminium case, handcuffed to a professional security guard.
The pie includes white Alba truffles, Beluga caviar which rests on mother-of-pearl spoons and an assortment of oysters.
Even the salt used to season the dish has been expensively sourced, harvested from the Piran Salt Pans in Slovenia.
Charlie Bigham’s confesses that the pie was a little expensive as a meal for two, but said “it is only a ‘drop in the ocean’ for customers accustomed to the finer things in life”.
“With the Swish Pie we went all out using the most exclusive ingredients to create a unique dish that really is the best ready meal ever made!”
The dish is a limited edition version of the company’s standard Fish Pie, and if you can stomach the cost it is available to order online from today at www.bighams.com
