Friday 7th March saw the unveiling of the winner of Nairobi Restaurant Week, ‘Win a trip to Cape Town’ courtesy of Travelstart Kenya and Van Loveren.
Mr. Benson N. Ngugi a city based lawyer was the lucky winner out of the numerous people who had entered the draw during the NRW 2014, which ran from 30th – 5th February, and was later extended to the 12th February due to popular public demand.

In a colourful ceremony held at EatOut offices, our CEO Mikul Shah, Our GM Nomusa Dube, Tilak Ruparel and Roop Ruparel from Slater & Whittaker and Travelstart Country Head, East Africa Bryan Kariuki oversaw the event.
Speaking to yummy Mr. Ngugi said, “ It was a pleasant surprise that I won because I don’t remember winning anything as such in my life, I have had interesting things in life with this I must say it’s just fate that I won”

Asked how he applied for the competition and this is what he said.
“ Honestly I didn’t know there was a competition, my wife was the one who booked online through EatOut, when we went to the restaurant we got the brochures”
“ Me and my wife made some booking online at around that time (Nairobi Restaurant Week) so I guess I was just luck that I won,” he further added.
