Another day, another power move! For the first time in its 7 year history, African businesses took centre stage at Europe’s largest digital marketing conference, DMEXCO 2015 in Cologne Germany on the 16th & 17th of September 2015 with EatOut representing Kenya. Held annually in September, this years edition was an uber success.
With over 43,000 visitors consisting of top decision makers and digital marketing experts from all over the world, 500 speakers and just under 900 exhibitors including the likes of BMW, Facebook, Google, Instagram, Microsoft, Salesforce, Twitter, VICE & Yahoo, this years event was the biggest event in it’s history occupying over 800,000 sq ft of Cologne’s Koelnmesse Congress Centre.
Our Director, Mikul Shah, represented Kenya, sharing Kenya’s investment potential, pointing to Nairobi as the gateway to East Africa. He shared the stage with Facebook’s VP EMEA, Nichola Mendelsohn and Africa Internet Group CEO, Jeremy Hodara and presented some incredibly valid points on the investment potential Nairobi and Africa as a whole.
“It was incredible to simply attend DMEXCO, let alone sit on the panel discussion in front of thousands of the world top digital marketers. It really gives you an insight into the future and scale of the digital revolution, and it was also important to see that the focus is shifting to Africa” said Mikul about the conference.
