CIO 100 celebrates 100 organizations and the people within them that are using information technology in innovative ways to deliver business value, whether by creating competitive advantage, optimizing business processes, enabling growth or improving relationships with customers.

The third edition of the Annual CIO 100 Awards and Symposium came to a close in a recently held colourful gala dinner . In attendance were Rosemary Mbabazi – Rwanda’s permanent secretary in the Ministry of Youth and ICT alongside Patrick Nyirishema, Head of IT, Rwanda Development Board (RDB). RDB and the Ministry of Youth and ICT were co-organisers of the event alongside CIO East Africa.

EatOut is proud to have scooped number 22 out of 100 companies that were selected for the awards.

To be selected, applicants must have shown not only that they have executed their project well, but that they have done so in uncommon, innovative ways: pioneering a new technology, applying a familiar technology to a new purpose, setting the bar higher for their competitors. And they must demonstrate business value, not just IT benefits.

Officially launched in 2010, Eat Out is a contemporary, functional and unique online portal that seeks to put Kenya’s dining culture “on the map”. It has proved to be a one of a kind concept that has steadily become a revolution for both diners and restaurants in Kenya.

The Eat Out website and mobile applications allow consumers to search for listed restaurants based on various criteria such as area location, type of cuisine and/or price range. Users are provided with comprehensive restaurant information including photos, videos, reviews, menus, maps, and directions. The end-user may also reserve tables using the online and mobile booking systems, telephone call centre or SMS.

Why don’t you experience the service first-hand? Reserve your table online by calling 0711 22 22 22 or simply visit www.eatout.co.ke to view over 200 restaurants listed from all over the country.
