EatOut Kenya Presents Visa Burger Week in Partnership with Visa

by Kevin Wandu

EatOut has partnered with VISA to bring the 2019 edition of the famed Burger Week. Happening from the 5th to the 15th of August 2019, this year’s edition will see over 80 restaurants across Nairobi and Mombasa coming together to feature exciting 2-for-1 burger deals as well as ‘Burger+Drink’ combo meals. All burger lovers will have to do is download the EatOut app to view participating restaurants and pay with their VISA cards to redeem their Burger Week offers.

This year’s edition is the fourth with ‘Burger Week’ first hitting Nairobi’s streets in 2016. Since then, the event has grown to feature over 50,000 diners making their way to participating restaurants to grab a bite of their favourite patty-packed (or veggie-based) dish. 2019’s edition is set to be bigger, better – and even tastier, as EatOut Events’ Head of
Events, Fred Mwithiga, says. “It’s definitely different this time around. Rapid response to changing consumer trends and demands has been a key approach in which we’ve managed to grow this event and sustain its brand value over time. Case in point, we have included more niche restaurants in this year’s roster to cater to the more artisanal tastes amongst our consumers. We have also expanded to Mombasa as we work on growing our national footprint,” says Fred.

Speaking on the ongoing partnership with EatOut Kenya, Victor Ndlovu, Visa Country Manager for Kenya said: “Kenyans have an affinity for great dining experiences and through Visa Burger Week, we can reward our valued cardholders by offering memorable opportunities to pursue their passion for great food, while showcasing the convenience and security of digital payments.”

With 10 days of burger-filled goodness, this is the perfect time to try something new as far as one’s burger palate is concerned, and unlock a whole new world of dining experiences!
